Privacy & your data
This website keeps very little about you. It sets no cookies, shows no ads and does not follow you around the web. Here is everything it does collect, and how to get a copy or have it deleted.

Who runs this
#Astraya and this website are made by Saransh Mittal, a solo developer in India, learning in public. When this page says “I”, that is me. You can reach me at hello@astrayagame.com.
What this website collects
#- No cookies. This website sets none, for any purpose, and shows no ads.
- Cookie-less visit counts. Cloudflare Web Analytics counts which pages are read. It uses no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and does not follow you to other sites.
- One choice, kept on your device. If you pause the moving background on the home page, your browser remembers it so it stays paused. That never leaves your device.
- What every website sees. To deliver pages and block attacks, Cloudflare, which serves this site, sees your network address and the kind of browser you use.
When you join the waitlist
#The form sends your email address and your answers to Kit, the email service that runs the waitlist: what you play on and how strong it is, what you can play with, where you heard about Astraya, and the games you play most. It also records that you confirmed your age, which agreement you accepted (Playtest Agreement v1), whether you asked for news about future playtests and Steam, and, if you came from a tagged link, the short name of where that link was posted (like reddit-post).
- Cloudflare Turnstile checks that a person, not a bot, is filling in the form. It loads only when you start filling in the form (or at once if a link brings you straight to it), and while it checks, Cloudflare sees your network address and the kind of browser you use. Most of the time you won’t see it at all.
- To stop floods of fake signups, the form briefly counts recent attempts from each network address. Those counts are not added to your signup.
- Kit sends one email to confirm. Your place is saved only after you click the link in it.
- News about future playtests and the Steam launch comes only if you tick that box. Without it, you only hear about this playtest.
Leaving the list
#Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click and you are off the list. You can also write to me and I will remove you. Until then, your email stays on the list.
A copy, a correction, or deletion
#Write to hello@astrayagame.com from the address you signed up with, and tell me:
- what you want: a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion;
- which part: the waitlist, the playtest, or both.
I answer within 30 days. I may ask you to confirm from that same address first, so that nobody else can ask for your data.
When you play
#The game collects more than this website: your voice, but only between your taps; the words you ask VESPER with; how your matches run. The Playtest Agreement lists every item, who handles it and how long it is kept.
Changes
#If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. If the Playtest Agreement’s terms change, its version number goes up and the game asks you to accept it again.
